July 7: Canyon and Camp Time

Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River.

I'm sure the rain added to the water volume - definitely looks powerful!

Me and my little man.

Sophie and Papa checking out the Grand Canyon (of Yellowstone).

Would like to compare to old pics - water levels in the river definitely seem higher this year.

Hard to take a bad picture from Artist's Point.

Many tourists means that someone will take our picture/

Sophie surveying the scene.

Sophie and her Papa.

Max checking out the Upper Falls.

I think I took this same picture last time I was here...oh well.

My good little kiddos.

Walking to the Lower Falls Overlook.

Heading down to the Lower Falls for an up close view.

Can't get much closer than standing right on the edge of the falls.  The height and power of the water is amazing.

Couldn't find a way to capture the falls to show the scale.  Also, notice the snow...

Rainbow pointing down the canyon to Artist's Point.

It was a little windy by the falls (Max's hair is proof).

Collecting firewood at the campsite.

Ahhhh...camp time.

First night we really got to relax at our site for a little bit and Max was just excited to sit in his chair.
