Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

I might not be at Coney Island but I thought the title was fitting since I had a little bit of luck at the casino tonight.  Always better to walk away with a little cash rather than just donating to the local economy.  Arrived ahead of the rain in Deadwood and Sophie was able to get a little swim time in with Nana at the pool.  Have I mentioned how nice it is to have Mom and Mike with us to have a couple of extra hands to help with everything?  Because it is nice!

Maxton didn't get a chance to spend some time in the pool (and that made him really sad) but he was sleeping when we got into the site and didn't want to wake up.  After rousing the sleeping bear, we managed to get everyone down to the trolley stop and into downtown Deadwood.  It almost worked out that we could see the Wild Bill reenactment at Saloon #10 but the kids were "starving" (as Sophie likes to say) so we cut out early and headed across the street for dinner while listening to a little music outside.

After dinner, Tom and I brought the kids back and Mom and Mike stayed downtown for a little bit to try their luck at the casinos.  No luck there.  Kids were just going to sleep when they got back and then I headed out to a couple of the casinos around the campground.  Managed to win $50 I figured it was a good time to get out and quit while I was ahead.  I'm sitting in the laundry room washing clothes now; I figured that it would be a good time to get posts online but the internet is not working.  I was at least making progress getting pictures off of my camera but now my computer just gave me an error message with that.  Temporarily freaked me out because when I reinserted the camera card, it said no pictures but a quick check of the Picture folder shows me that they are there.  Whew!  Disaster averted!

It's been a great trip so far...the tired is catching up.  I think that helped me realize today just how long 18 days really is!  Looking forward to tomorrow though; should be another fun filled day!
